Where is ECS located? Electronic Components & Services (ECS) is located in Fox Lake, Wisconsin (not Fox Lake, Illinois!). Fox Lake is 7 miles north of Beaver Dam and is about an hour drive from both Madison and Milwaukee.

What type of PCBs does ECS specialize in? ECS manufactures single sided, double sided, 4 and 6-layer boards in the small to medium quantity range.

Does ECS do prototype boards? Yes, ECS provides a quick turn prototype service (as quickly as 5 days or less) while still emphasizing quality in the prototype product they manufacture.

What is the normal delivery time for a production order? ECS tries to keep normal production delivery time in the 3 week range. If a customer needs a product in less than 3 weeks, ECS has the flexibility to deliver.

Does ECS do photo plotting? Yes. ECS has the capability to do in house photo plotting from your e-mailed Gerber Data.

Does ECS like production runs? Most definitely. ECS is a job shop and all job shops must have a mix of smaller jobs and larger production runs. A good customer will realize this fact. A good customer will utilize a vendor such as ECS by taking advantage of their quick turn capacity while at the same time placing production orders as well.

Is there such a thing as too large a production run for ECS? Yes, again. ECS will not accept a large order they feel will dominate their shop and prevent them from offering the shop flexibility their customers demand. A very large quantity order would take ECS away from their niche in the PCB business.

How would you describe ECS's pricing structure? The best word would be "competitive". ECS pricing is not the cheapest, but at the same time it's not the most expensive. When one considers the fine quality ECS offers, their pricing may be the best value you could purchase.
